As we head into Christmas, we often return to an image we use at Signal Hill: digging wells.
In many parts of the world, wells provide clean water. Water that nourishes life, gathers community, and restores hope.
Here in Canada and across North America, the “wells” shaping our young people often look different. Too many are murky, filled with confusion, pressure, and messages that leave kids feeling unseen and unsure of their worth.
At Signal Hill, our work is about digging clean wells. Places where children and youth can draw life-giving water rooted in hope, truth, and the reminder that their lives have intrinsic value.
As this year comes to a close, we simply want to say thank you. Because of your generosity, this has been a year of meaningful growth, measured not just in numbers, but in lives impacted and hope restored.
Today, Signal Hill resources are being used by educators and leaders in 144 countries, and we estimate they have now reached tens of thousands of children and youth worldwide through classrooms, clubs, churches, and community settings.
A few highlights you helped make possible:
Global Reach
In just three short years, educators in 144 countries are using Signal Hill resources. This year we expanded access even further with:
• French translations completed (K–8)
• Spanish nearly fully uploaded
• Mandarin launched
Stories That Remind Us Why This Matters
In South Africa, a widow named Lindy is using our free resources with impoverished women to help break cycles of dysfunction as they raise their children. Her 16-year-old daughter, Shenai, was so impacted that she started youth clubs, began translating lessons into Afrikaans, and is already leading other young people.
When young people encounter truth and hope, they don’t just heal. They lead.
Strategic Support for Greater Impact
Mid-year, Signal Hill received Chick-fil-A’s Global Leadership Award, a $50,000 USD grant presented in Atlanta, strengthening our ability to scale and respond to growing global demand.
Indigenous Resources
Our Indigenous K–12 resources, originally designed for B.C. classrooms, are now being used in 24+ countries, serving both Indigenous and non-Indigenous students with culturally respectful, life-affirming content.
Sisters Strong
This year we launched Sisters Strong, a new initiative focused on supporting girls as they navigate identity, self-worth, and resilience. We’re excited for what’s ahead.
Community Collaboration
Through partnerships with City Dream Centre and City Reach, nearly 3,000 backpacks filled with Gratitude Journals and resources were distributed to children and youth across Vancouver and Surrey.
Supporting Parents and Educators
We launched a new Advisory Council, welcoming Dr. Yuriko Ryan and Dr. Suzanne Simpson, and hosted five events across BC and Ontario to build community and shared vision.
As we celebrate Christmas, we’re reminded why this work matters.
Together, we are helping ensure children and youth encounter hope and truth, and know deep in their hearts that their lives are precious and worth fighting for.
Thank you for walking alongside Signal Hill.
With heartfelt gratitude and Christmas blessings,
