Fashion matters because it helps us express who we are, but how often do the people who make them suffer in poor conditions? In this episode, we learn what fast fashion is, how people and the environment are affected by it, and how we can better value others with our shopping choices.

Learning outcomes:

It is expected that students will:

  • Have a deeper understanding of the fast fashion industry and its negative effects on people and the environment.
  • Examine what their own clothing purchases are potentially contributing to and consider more conscious alternatives.
  • Discover ethical clothing brands and learn about the difference they are trying to make.

  • Reflection and discussion questions such as:
