Lesson Plan 1: 100% That Girl

No matter how hard we try, fitting in as girls isn’t easy. Our individual uniqueness and value as girls are things that should be celebrated but are often used against us instead. In this episode, we explore our beautiful differences and identify the ways we deserve to be treated.

Grade level: 9-12

Lesson duration: 45 min

Learning Outcomes:

It is expected that students will:

• Celebrate their own individuality while simultaneously celebrating the uniqueness in others.
• Understand that their value is unconditional and begin to live out of that understanding.
• Notice and sift through the lies in their mind and replace them with truths about themselves.

Lesson includes:

• 10 minute workshop video 
• “My Value, My Say” worksheet (Printable)
• Warm-up, Core Lesson, and Reinforcement Activities
• Reflection and discussion questions such as:
• What pressures and expectations does society place on girls today? (Life, careers, etc.) 
• How should girls be treated? Where do you feel the most pressure?
