Lesson Plan 1: Aim at Progress, Not Perfection

Life isn’t about perfection. This lesson will help students accept that they don’t need to do everything perfectly and understand that practice produces progress.

Grade level: K - 2

Lesson duration: 30 min + Optional Extension Activity (10 min)

Learning outcomes:

• Recognize that being good at something does not mean you have to be perfect at it.
• Identify that you can improve at something by practicing.
• Demonstrate an understanding of the fact that imperfect things are still valuable.
