Lesson Plan 3: Be a Feelings Detective

Our feelings can be complex and complicated. Sometimes they aren’t straightforward and sometimes we feel multiple feelings at once. This lesson will help students identify different feelings inside them and increase their emotional vocabulary to bring more clarity.

Grade level: 3 - 5

Lesson Duration: 55 min + Optional Extension Activity (15 min)

Learning Outcomes:

It is expected that students will:

• Recognize that there are lots of different feelings.
• Identify times that they have felt more than one feeling at the same time.
• Demonstrate the ability to decipher the feelings people may be feeling.
