Speaking to our minds in a kind way helps us to keep a positive and healthy mindset. In this lesson, students will learn what a positive affirmation is and practice identifying things they can tell themselves to maintain a positive mindset.

Lesson Duration: 30 min + Optional Extension Activities (30 min)

Learning Outcomes:

It is expected that students will:

  • Make connections between how it feels to be spoken to kindly vs unkindly
  • Develop an understanding of what a positive affirmation is
  • Identify some kind things that they can say to themselves to keep their minds healthy and happy
