In Indigenous cultures, Elders are storytellers. They are knowledge keepers who carry and transmit history, language, values, and spiritual teachings. When we understand the cadence of Indigenous ways, we will understand how oral storytelling sustains cultural identity and community connection, and the importance of listening to and honoring Elder’s voices.
