Learning Outcomes:

It is expected that students will:

  • Recognize the importance of living in community and why it is so helpful.
  • Identify the ways that their community members help to make their lives easier and better.
  • Demonstrate an appreciation for the community around them.
  • Recognize that it is important that we are not all the same.
  • Identify ways that differences between people help the community.
  • Demonstrate the value of respecting and appreciating the way people are different. 
  • Recognize that living in peace with others is important.
  • Identify ways that they can live peacefully with those around them.
  • Demonstrate the value of being peacemakers.
  • Recognize the aspects of their family that make them different from other families.
  • Identify the people that make up their family and contribute to their family identity.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of how the family they belong to contributes to their personal identity.
