For decades, people have been trying to define what exactly makes someone a leader. All of us can name a leader, but not all of us see ourselves as one. In this first episode, we discuss the stereotypical understanding of leadership, look at how we arrive at certain models of success and influence, and propose a new framework for what makes someone a leader.

It is expected that students will:

  • Gain an inclusive perspective of leadership and explore the idea that anyone can be a leader.
  • Consider themselves capable of leadership.
  • Explain what success looks like regarding leadership.
