When we care for ourselves, we know how to care for others and our things too! Aligned with Indigenous values, this lesson plan will take a look at how self respect and care translates to respect and care for the people and places around us. Water will be used to illustrate this relationship and lesson.

It is expected that students will:

• Identify ways in which the relationships they have with self translates to relationships with others
• Recognize the cultural significance of water, particularly within the Indigenous community
• Understand the essential role of water in the various aspects of life
