Solving problems is difficult when we have no idea where to begin. In this lesson, students will be introduced to some problem solving tools and learn how to identify the root of a problem before attempting to solve it.

•  Recognize that solving problems can be hard and complicated.
•  Define what the problem is in a variety of situations and identify the causes of problems in order to find appropriate solutions.
