The words we say to others have the power to either build them up or tear them down. In this lesson, students will explore how teasing can be done in good humour but it can also be done to hurt and harm. Students will learn how to make people feel more confident in who they are instead of insecure.

It is expected that students will:

  • Recognize what fun teasing is and what mean teasing is.
  • Identify and explore ways to build people up with their words instead of tearing them down.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of how to make people feel more confident in who they are instead of insecure
