We are influenced by the things we admire. This lesson will give students the opportunity to explore the attributes of people they admire and teach them how to model those positive attributes in their own life.

Grade level: K - 2 

Prep time: 10 min

Lesson duration: 35 min + Optional Extension Activities (10 min)

Learning outcomes:

It is expected that students will:

  • Recognize that some attributes make situations better and some make situations worse.
  • Identify the attributes that they think are important and valuable.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of which attributes they think are important to exhibit themselves.

Reading Comprehension Questions include:

  • Why and how did the lion break the rules? Did he have a good reason?
  • Why did everyone love and appreciate the lion so much?
