We can learn so much from each other when we take the time to pause and listen. In this lesson, students will participate in the Canadian Indigenous Sharing Circle and learn a new way of showing respect while learning from and listening to others.

Lesson Duration: 30 min

Learning Outcomes:

It is expected that students will:

  • Learn the Indigenous tradition of using a talking stick in sharing circles.
  • Practice respectful listening and speaking.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of Indigenous cultural ideas through reflection and application.
