Lesson Plan 1: Personal Safety

To keep ourselves safe, we need to be aware of our surroundings. In this lesson, students will learn about and brainstorm specific safety guidelines that will help them avoid harmful situations and navigate through life with their own safety in mind.

Grade level: 3 - 5

It is expected that students will:

• Recognize that there are things they can do to keep themselves safe.
• Identify rules that they can follow that will help them be safe.
• Demonstrate an understanding of personal safety and the role they play in it.
