Social Emotional Learning Unit

Our emotions are nothing to be ashamed of, but sometimes they can feel overwhelming. In this unit, students will learn some key tools that will help them navigate their different emotions and increase their emotional intelligence.

Mental Health Unit

Our mind is the only mind we have, and having a healthy mind makes a positive difference in our lives. In order to keep our brains healthy, it is important to understand what mental health is and practice habits that help us maintain a positive mindset.

Relationships Unit

Our relationships play a major role in shaping who we become. In this unit students will learn what it means to have a healthy relationship with themselves, their friends, and people that are difficult to get along with.

Personal Growth & Development Unit

Personal Growth is an ongoing journey. This unit will serve as a guide to students on the road to self-improvement by teaching the importance of having a growth mindset and how to set SMART goals, as well as by covering communication skills and the qualities of a good leader.

Body Image Unit

Body image is both mental and emotional. It is not just about what you see in the mirror, it is also about how you feel about your body when you look in the mirror. Having a healthy body image means that you truly accept yourself as you are right now. You don’t need to change in order to accept yourself.

Living in Community Unit

Living in a community involves learning about similarities and differences. In this unit students will learn how to create unity in their communities through lessons about appreciating others, valuing diversity, and what it means to be a peacemaker.

Personal Identity Unit

There are so many different pieces that make up who we are as individuals and that make us unique. In this unit students will develop a deeper understanding of themselves by taking a closer look at some of those key pieces, including their values, strengths and weaknesses, and their intelligence.

Nutrition Unit

Healthy choices influence our physical, emotional, and mental well-being. In this unit, students will understand how to take charge of their own health by learning about the pillars of health, why what we eat matters, how our food affects our mood, and how eating well can be fun.

Safety Unit

We can all play a role in creating safe spaces and making smart decisions that protect ourselves and others. In this unit, students will learn the answers to some key questions regarding their safety in their everyday circumstances, online, and in their relationships by discussing topics like preventable hazards, media literacy, and bullying.
