Social Emotional Learning Unit
Our emotions are an integral part of life. In these lessons, students will learn how to identify the various feelings they experience, how to recognize feelings in their bodies, how to respond to their feelings, and how their feelings might affect and be affected by others.
Mental Health Unit
We are our best selves when our brains and bodies are working together to stay healthy. In order to keep our brains and bodies healthy it is important that we understand our emotions, use positive self-talk, know how to handle worries and identify things that make us feel happy and loved.
Personal Growth & Development Unit
Personal growth is all about improving how we take care of ourselves and the world around us. This unit will provide students with a foundation to help them become their best selves by teaching them how to live without fear of failure, spread kindness, communicate their needs, and develop healthy habits.
Body Image Unit
Body image is both mental and emotional. It is not just about what you see in the mirror, it is also about how you feel about your body when you look in the mirror. Having a healthy body image means that you truly accept yourself as you are right now. You don’t need to change in order to accept yourself.
Living in Community Unit
Life is better when we work together. In this unit students will learn about the importance of living in community with lessons covering topics such as respect, diversity, appreciation, and family.
Personal Identity Unit
The way we view our personal identity is shaped by an understanding of our value. Throughout this unit, students will be reminded of their worth and will learn about their unique identity by exploring what they enjoy, who they admire, and where their strengths lie.
Physical Health & Wellness Unit
Healthy habits sustain healthy bodies. In these lessons, students will learn about the importance of nutrition, exercise, and listening to their body’s needs so that they can take good care of their physical health.
What we eat influences who we become and we want to become our best selves. Eating healthy foods helps us to improve our mood, energy, and thinking. Let’s become better learners and people when we fuel and nourish our bodies with good food.
